All of it too true and your #2 defied explanation. I woke up in time (work overnights down here in Texas) to watch Paps blow what was then still a 6-4 lead. Called my husband (who had just come off an overnight in Marlborough, MA) and screamed for him to wake up and turn on the game, and we both watched in abject horror as the wheels fell off. I sat there cussing like a sailor while tears ran down my face. Went through the seven stages of grieving in about 10 minutes and heard pop after pop as my facebook "friends" sent me either condolences or crap. And that night I got ready for work, slung on my Red Sox jacket and walked out the door. Because that's what we do, right?</p><p>I know you don't write exclusively about the Sox anymore and after this season, I don't blame you. But I will check your blog once a week or so as I enjoy your acerbic wit and insight. Your mid-season reports are always spot on (Lugo and gasoline).
